Unknown origins, it rose around a fortress in the 1st middleages on the declivity of Mount La Pelosa. It has turistic attraction with it being provided with skiing course and installation of ascension in wintertime and good equipment for sojourn in the summertime. Polino, ancient feud of the family Castelli from Terni. It was then feud of the Polini (from whom it takes its name) and the Arroni. Provided with a fortress and furnished with a mint it maintains communal autonomy for a long time. Very few rests of the castle and the stocky polygonal tower are left. Imposing is the monumental baroque fountain. |
