Founded by the followers of Lucia Silla in 84 b.C. followed all historical vicissitudes of the neighbouring villages. Included in the Dukedom of Spoleto and in the XIIth century, Sellano was subjected to Norcia. Passes to the Church (XIIIth century), became feud of the Collicola, Seigniors of Montesanto, in the XIVth century. However its origins go back to the roman colonization. It had a particular strategic importance in the Middleages, deter mined by its geographic position; before the 1000's it belonged to the Longobardics |
