The Facade

The facade is divided into three areas: the lower area features the beautiful portal that is reminiscent of the one in the lower church: a Gothic arch; two wooden entrances; and a series of slender columns culminating in Gothic arches.

There is a rose-window featuring several concentric circles situated between the two arches, while to all four sides there are symbols of the Evangelists.

There are two eagles positioned to the sides of the cornice separating the lower section of the facade from the middle section.

The upper section is triangular, and at the top there are two circular towers. To the left there is a loggia culminating in a semi-circular dome built at the beginning of the 17th century.
